About Programme
|
The Department of Health Management develops its knowledge on the management of health services and institutions by conducting undergraduate and graduate education, training and research, and maintains its feature of being the first and pioneer in this field in Turkey.

History
|
The Department of Health Management, which makes researches in undergraduate and graduate levels of education to improve the knowledge on the management of health services and organizations, is pioneer in its field in Turkey. The Department of Health Management aims to graduate highly qualified professional health managers who; are confident, know their country and the World well, adopt contemporary and universal values, investigate and question, speak in at least one foreign language well, have a production oriented entrepreneurial spirit, have developed communication and leadership skills, and equipped with the necessary principles, knowledge and skills for their profession through undergraduate and graduate education programs.

Admission Requirements
In order to be accepted for this program must be achieve exams and complete the process set by OSYM in academic and legal framework of regulations.
Programme accepts students that have type of TM-1 point.

Graduation Requirements
|
Students of Health Care Management Department have to take course 240 ACTS credits and be successful to graduate. Also, students need to provide at least 2,00 general academic mean. The elective course credits required for the department is 63 ACTS.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates of this department take charge in public (Ministry of Health, Universities, Armed Forces Affiliated Hospitals) or private sector (private hospitals, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, insurance companies and other private health institutions). They can take charge in department of account and finance, human resources department, marketing department and patient relations department of healthcare institutions. They also have chance to be employed as a supervisor or specialist at several public institutions notably Ministry of Health and Social Security İnstitution.

Assessment and evaluation methods for each course defined at ? course teaching plan? prepared by related instructor/s and ranked in the information package. İn terms of exams and course grades relavent articles of H.U associate education, bachelor education and regulation of examination applied.
