About Programme
|
Department of Science Education
Our department was established in 1997 to train Science Teachers within the framework of the restructuring of education faculties. Our Department, which started to provide education in the 1998-1999 academic year, also provides non-thesis Master's, Master's and Doctorate education in Science Education in addition to its 4-year undergraduate education. In addition to MEB staff, our graduates have the opportunity to find jobs as teachers in private education institutions and as academicians in universities.
The education program of our department aims to train science and technology teachers with the capacity and skill to train future generations for the second level of primary education in line with the needs and requirements of both our country and the age. In addition to strengthening the professional knowledge and experience of our students, our department also cares about directing students to sports, arts, communication and cultural activities that support their personal development, improve their creativity and social relations.
The Department of Basic Education, where our department is located, has a science laboratory and a computer laboratory. Computers and projectors are available in all of our classrooms.

Admission Requirements
|
In order to be accepted to the program, it is required to be a high school graduate and to have a score in the numerical score type of YKS.

Graduation Requirements
|
For the graduation requirements of our program, article 30 of Hacettepe University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations is taken as basis. Accordingly, a student who fulfills the following conditions is deemed to have completed his education and provided the necessary conditions for graduation. Students who are entitled to graduate are awarded the diplomas of the relevant program in accordance with the provisions of the "Regulation on the Regulation of Hacettepe University Diploma, Certificate, Temporary Graduation and Other Documents". a) To successfully complete all courses, applications and internships stipulated by the program in which they are registered, in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation. (154 national credits / 240 ECTS) b) To complete the total credit amount stipulated by the program. c) To achieve a minimum overall academic average of 2.00. d) Not being dismissed from the University for the reasons stated in the 29th article of this Regulation.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Our graduates work as science teachers in private and foundation schools, especially in public schools affiliated to MEB. In addition, they also work in other educational institutions and training and consultancy companies.

Regarding exams and course grades, the relevant articles of the Hacettepe University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations are applied. For information;
