Hacettepe University Faculty of Sports Sciences Coaching Education Program
|
History
|
It is a 4 years degree programme given by the School of Spor Sciences and Technology. The teaching language is Turkish.All accepted students are admitted to first year programme as freshman.The main objective of the programme is to train students in sport sciences, coaching, conditioning, and performance analyst for different age groups for different institutions, General Directorate of Sport, Sport Federations, and sport clubs. Therefore, students take courses related to general culture, courses related to the theoretical and practical fields, sport sciences, coaching, conditioning, and performance analysis in sport. In order to apply the theoretical and practical skills they have in sport sciences in practice, they participate in training sessions for different age groups in clubs to observe and evaluate, and in the final year they do coaching internship in a club. At the end of 4 years degree programme the students are expected to show skills and expertise in employing the appropriate skills and techniques in order to have the athletes to develop critical, analytical, and creative thinking, problem solving skills. Students gain appropriate techniques and skills to employ in talent selection, guidance and development, and learns how to develop and follow up a sport model. Learns how to use the relevant technology, communication means, and leadership skills. Students are expected to become an expert in field related evaluation, analysis and applied skills.

Admission Requirements
|
For the acceptance to Sport Science Programme the candidates are expected to complete Secondary (Lycee) or any equivalent international school, and obtain required university entrance and special aptitude exam points.

Graduation Requirements
|
To complete all the courses in the program (240 ECTS) and achieve a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 are the required rules to qualify for graduation.
|
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Sport Science programme trains students to become sport scientist, coach, conditioner, and analyst in sport performance. title and they can work at state or private schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. Our graduates also find jobs at public and private centers and universities for an academic career.

|
For every course, assessment and evaluation methods are defined in the course syllabus by the responsible academic personnel. Hacettepe University Undergraduate Academic and Examination legislation is applied regarding the examinations and assigned grade points for every course.
