About Programme
|
The purpose of the Computer Programming Program is; To train qualified individuals who will work in the IT sector, who know technology, who can transform knowledge into production, who can carry out applications and activities in the field by thinking analytically, who can take responsibility, who can develop themselves socially, who have effective communication skills, who have gained learning competence by grasping the lifelong learning vision, and thus constantly improve themselves. . For this purpose, the Program provides education with a constantly updated curriculum and course content. The curriculum of the program mainly consists of software/programming courses and all of the field courses are taught in the computer laboratory. During their 2-year education, students are trained to develop console, desktop, internet-web and mobile applications through training in C++, C#, Java programming languages ??and HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ASP.NET MVC. In addition, in the database courses in the curriculum, students receive both Microsoft Sql Server and Oracle training and gain skills for database management and the development of applications using these databases. Within the scope of the vocational project course, students turn to an area where they want to improve themselves and carry out applications for the sector in this area.

History
|
Hacettepe University Başkent OSB Technical Sciences Vocational School, Computer Technologies Department - Computer Programming Program was opened in 2017. Computer Programming Program is a two-year associate degree program consisting of 4 semesters. Theoretical and practical courses are given in the program.

Admission Requirements
|
ÖSYM is determined by the YÖK in accordance to the relevant legislation.
|
Graduation Requirements
In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all of the courses available in the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS), to achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00, and to successfully complete a 30-day internship.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates of the program in the computer industry Computer Programming service-producing companies, industrial companies and public institutions of all kinds are employed. Given intensive training program for computer programming graduates can work in various fields related to software.

Assessment and Grading
Students have to enroll courses at the beginning of the semester and continue at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the applications in order to enter the final exam. Students are required to take at least one midterm and a general exam for each course. Success grade is weighted average of the midterm exams (grades obtained from measurement tools such as homework, laboratory exams, practice etc. can be taken into consideration as a midterm exam grade) and of the final exam. The weight of the midterm and general exams could be between 40% and 60% that are determined by the instructor of the course.
Examinations and grading follow the related arrangements of Hacettepe University Associate’s Degree, Bachelor's of Science Education and Examination Regulations.
