About Programme
|
Hacettepe Vocational School, Mechanical Programme; It is established by the decision of the Senate of Hacettepe University with the number of 2012-76 and the date of 29th March 2012. A dual education program that has a sixth period of 2 years serves as a pre-license. The technician degree and diploma are given to whose who complete the all courses successively.
The graduated students are the most employed technical stuff in the modern manufacturing business area because of the importance of CNC benches and CAD-CAM programs in this area. They can be employed as lathe and milling operators, CNC operators, CAD-CAM operators, Quality and Control specialists, Thermal Process controllers, Control and Automation Systems controllers, and Technical Service employers in Industry. Moreover, the graduated students can be an entrepreneur after gaining certain experiences and special knowledge about professionals.
The graduated students can apply to the University Entrance Examination which is executed by OSYM and they can be completed their degrees to a bachelor of Science of Engineering such as Industrial Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Shipbuilding, and Marine Engineering, Marine Engineering Operations, Ship and Ocean Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Agricultural machinery, and Technology Engineering or related teaching schools

History
Hacettepe Vocational School, Mechanical Program; was established on March 29, 2012, with the decision numbered 2012-76 by the Hacettepe University Senate. The program is offered in a dual education format and provides associate degree education for a total of 6 terms over 2 years. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded an associate degree in "Mechanical Program" and the title of "Technician". Graduates of the mechanical program have become highly sought-after and the most employed professionals in this field, due to the rising influence of the manufacturing sector and the significant role of CNC machines and CAD-CAM programs in modern manufacturing.
In the industry, they can take on roles in areas such as lathe and milling technicians, CNC programming, CAD-CAM programming, technical drafting, quality control, heat treatment, control and automation, technical service, and promotion. Graduates who have acquired sufficient knowledge and experience can also establish their own businesses with an entrepreneurial spirit. After successfully completing the Mechanical Program, our students, upon successful completion of the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), can transfer to departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Ship Machinery Engineering, Marine Machinery Operation Engineering, Ship and Marine Technology Engineering, and Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering.

Admission Requirements

For Acceptance of the Mechanical Programme, the candidate must complete the Turkish Secondary Education System or equivalent degree from abroad and take enough score from the national university examination (TYT-SAYISAL).

Graduation Requirements
|
At least 120 ECTS must be completed successfully in order to graduate Mechanical Program associate's degree.The graduation requirements are determined in Hacettepe University Students Regulations.
