History
In 1985, first Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program began teaching within the Vocational High School of Health ServicesGraduates of the program works medical units of private and public health organizations like clinics, outpatient clinics, laboratories, operating rooms, emergency services. In addition, they also work administrative units like health committee, patient admission, the patient files archive.
The language of education is Turkish.
The main objective of the program is to train medical secretaries, received vocational training in the field of medical documentation and secretarial for the needs of health institutions and organizations.Technological infrastructure, education and training opportunities of the department have been organized to provide students gaining skills to take the duties and responsibilities which they will face in their career.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must be high school graduates.Graduates of Vocational and Technical Secondary School can be admitted the program without an exam.On the other hand, it is necessary to have enough points from the university exam (university student selection and placement tests).Students are admitted with the type of YGS 3 points.

Graduation Requirements
They must successfully pass the courses stated in the program and complete a twenty-one-day internship training.To graduate the students must successfully complete total of 120 ECTS credits (78 national credits) in four semesters and must get at least 2 overall aacedemic verage according to the 4th grade system.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
They work in administrative units of private and public health organizations, medical / and medical software (medical journals, newsletters, abstract, etc.). companies.
Assessment and Grading
The academic standing from a course shall be determined via the final course grade. The final course grade shall be calculated by jointly evaluating the semester performance of the student (mid-term exams, assignments, practical studies etc.) and the final exam.
The final exam shall constitute a minimum of 40% or a maximum of 60% of the final course grade. The percentage of semester performance and final exam in the final course grade, the minimum final exam grade necessary for successfully completing the course and the syllabus shall be announced by the respective course instructor to students at the beginning of the semester.
Students who do not take the final exam of a course shall be considered to have failed that course.
The raw scores obtained from the exams are converted into scores out of 100 and adapted to the grading system, and a general success grade is given.
