About Programme
|
The Audiometry Program was founded in our country in 1984 at Hacettepe University, within the Vocational School of Health Services by Prof.Dr. Erol BELGİN. In Audiometry program, in which Audiometry Technicians have gained skills such as evaluating hearing and balance disorders, performing audiological and vestibular tests, performing hearing screening tests and noise measurements, as well as measuring and adjusting the gain and output values ??of the devices deemed appropriate by taking ear mold measurements for hearing aid application, Since its establishment, it has produced a large number of qualified graduates. In addition to its well-equipped academic staff, it has an extremely strong structure with the support it receives from the teaching staff of different faculties and colleges of our university. Our students, who benefit from the computer laboratory of the college and the clinical environment within the hospital, also have the opportunity to closely follow the technological developments. Our students take intensive theoretical and practical courses spread over four semesters during their two-year education, and make clinical practice in their third and fourth semesters. Our graduates, who have successfully completed the Audiometry Program, whose main goal is to train qualified Audiometry Technicians, are employed in various public and private health institutions as well as university hospitals, state have the opportunity to work in hospitals and hearing aid/cochlear implant centers.Student admission to the Audiometry Program is made through the YKS by central placement, taking into account the TYT score.

To graduate from program, students have to complete 120 ECTS successfully and their general academic average must be minimum 2,00. (maximum 4.00). Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
The Audiometry graduates can work in both state and private sectors. They can apply audiologic and vestıbuler tests in Audiology Units in ENT Department of state hospitals, work in newborn hearing screening program in the Clinic of Obstetrics and can apply audiologic /vestibuler and hearing screening tests in both private hospital and clinics. Also,they can work in hearing aid companies.

Assessment and Grading
The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the "Course Teaching Plan" prepared by the relevant faculty member/s and included in the Information package. Regarding the exams and course success grades, H.U. Related articles of Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations are applied.
