About Programme

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration was established in 1982 under the name of the Department of Public Administration and  began to offer an undergraduate degree in 1983.  Academic language in the undergraduate program is English.

Admission Requirements
Candidates should meet the conditions specified by Hacettepe University Regulation on Undergraduate Training, Education, and Examination (for further information please see http://www.oid.hacettepe.edu.tr). Those having a high school diploma can apply for the program. Candidates should have the minimum required scores in the university entrance exam (for further information on university entrance exams, please see http://www.osym.gov.tr).

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, students must complete 240 ECTS (165 national credits) with a cumulative GPA of 2.00 over 4.00 and comply with rules specified by Hacettepe University Regulation on Undergraduate Training, Education, and Examination (for further information please see http://www.oid.hacettepe.edu.tr).

The courses that taken outside the department can have a maximum 12 ECTS and must have one of the following conditions: i) These courses must be held in English or ii) These courses must be on learning a foreign language (German, French, Spanish, Arabic etc) iii) If the course held in Turkish, it should be a course with "practice credit" (P=1). In addition, students can take a maximum of 3 SEC coded courses throughout their education life.

They can work as specialists, district governors, inspectors, administrative judges, and managers, academicians, etc.
