Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts has begun four-year mainstream education since 1985-1986 academic year. The primary language of instruction in this program is Turkish, and a foreign language proficiency exam is not required for admission to the department. The department's principal objective is to educate skilled interior architects who are capable of developing designs that integrate form and function through both scientific and artistic approaches. Moreover, the students are expected to systematize their designs by creating contemporary and innovative solutions, thereby enhancing societal awareness of interior design within the country. To facilitate the translation of theoretical knowledge into practical skills, students are required to complete internships during the 5th and 7th semesters of their studies, thus enabling them to further develop their knowledge and skills through practical experience.
