About Programme

The Department of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts offers a four-year mainstream education. The language of the courses given by Sculpture Department is Turkish.

Education of department aims to provide technical knowledge, skill and formation of art through theory and practice based courses. In the department there are main sculpture studios. Beside these there are metal, wood, stone, medallion and jewellery design and drawing studios.

Main target of sculpture department is to educate qualified artist candidates.

Admission Requirements
To enter the Department of Sculpture, it is required to finish secondary education or get an equivalent education abroad and receive sufficent score in the nationol student placement exam and to be successful at special talent exam. (Faculty of Fine Arts Talent Exam Regulations)

Graduation Requirements
To be graduated from Sculpture Department students are required to take provided courses in return for 240 ECTS credits and succeed in them; have a general academic average of 2.00 out of 4.00 to be able to graduate from the program.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of Sculpture Department can work as a sculptor who makes architectural and monumental works, environment designer, art educator in different institutions, art consultant, locket and jewellery designer, set-designer for TV or theatres besides working as independent sculpture artist.
Assessment and Grading
Testing and evaluation methods implemented in the courses are defined in the “course instructional plan” which takes place in the information package. The relevant articles in the Examination Regulation of Hacettepe University Associate and Undergraduate Education are used for the exams and final grades.
