About Programme
The aim of the First and Emergency Aid Program is to provide basic and advanced life support to the sick and injured in the pre-hospital emergency services, to perform life-saving and prevent permanent disabilities in the patient, to plan and implement the appropriate emergency response approach, to provide safe transportation of the sick or injured by ambulance.


Those who complete the program are given an associate degree diploma and the title of Emergency Care Technician.

History
In the constitution of Hacettepe University Vocational School of Health Services started education in 1984 was first started as Emergency Aid Technician (First and Emergency Aid) Program in the 2004-2005 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
The Associate Degree Diploma and the title of "Emergency Aid Technician" are given those who complete the program.
Admission Requirements
Graduates of Vocational High Schools and High Schools will be able to find the opportunity to register the programs of Vocational School of Health Services.

The students can be graduated when they complete two years(4 semesters) education. Occupational Profiles of Graduates
First and Emergency Aid technicians(paramedics) work as health personnel in emergency aid and patient transport ambulances, as call responders in command and control centers, and as health personnel in hospital emergency services. These personnel act as ambulance drivers when necessary (after safe driving training).
