About Programme
|
The art and science of completing one or more missing teeth and related missing tissues in order to regain the lost and lost function and esthetics is called Prosthetic Dentisry. In this field, the scientific and clinical responsibility belong to the dentist, and the responsibility of the laboratory stages belongs to the Laboratory Technician. In a successfull prosthetic treatment, well-trained dental technicians with high manual dexterity have a great share.
The aim of the program is to train qualified personnel who can assist dentists and carry out laboratory stages. Those who complete the program are given the Associate Degree Diploma and the title of Health Technician (Dental Prosthesis).

History

Our School started education in 1984 with the program of Dental Prosthesis (Dental Prosthesis Technology) and Anesthesia. , Emergency Aid Technician (First and Emergency Aid) in 2004-2005 Academic Year, Radiotherapy in 2008-2009 Academic Year, Pharmacy Services in 2009-2010 Academic Year, Oral and Dental Health and Electroneurophysiology in 2013-2014 Academic Year , Operating Room Services in the 2014-2015 Academic Year and Disinfection, Sterilization and Antisepsis programs were added in the 2019-2020 Academic Year.

Admission Requirements
|
The students who have completed their secondary education or received an equivalent education abroad and have obtained the required score for this program in the national university exam, or students who have made a lateral transfer from another higher education institution. Regarding the academic recognition of these students' past education, Hacettepe University Associate Degree Education and Examination Regulations can be consulted. Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates of Dental Technology Program can begin a private business, can work at government hospitals; can work in the laboratory at departments of prosthodontics and orthodontics at faculty of dentistry of Universities.

Assessment and Grading
Regarding the exams and success grades, H.U. the relevant articles of the Associate Degree Education Examination Regulations are applied.
