About Programme
|
Department of Public Finance was founded in 1983 to meet the need for qualified manpower in financial matters of both the private and public sectors. Department of Public Finance has 4 departments: Theory of Public Finance, Economics of Public Finance, Fiscal Law, and Budget and Fiscal Planning. There are 7 professors, 7 associate professors and 13 research assistants in the department. The department offers both undergraduate and graduate programs.

History
|
Department of Public Finance of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Hacettepe University was founded in 1982 and started Bachelor`s programme in the academic year of 1983-1984. The aim of the Department of Public Finance is to provide the educated work force needed both by private and public sectors.Turkish is the language of instruction.The department consists of four subfields:*Theory of Public Finance*Fiscal Economics*Budgeting and Fiscal Planning *Fiscal LawThere is a Master`s Programme with thesis and a PhD programme under the Institute of Social Sciences.

Admission Requirements

In order to enter the Department of Public Finance;*Turkish secondary education must have been completed or an equivalent education must have been received abroad*A sufficient point must have been obtained from the national university exam (YGS). The Department of Public Finance admits students with YGS TM-1 score type.

Graduation Requirements
|
In order to graduate from this program, the students should,Complete all courses, applications and trainings predicted by the program enrolled in accordance with the provisions of this RegulationComplete the total credit amount predicted by the programMaintain at least 2.00 academic grade averageNot be discharged from the University due to reasons mentioned in the 29th Article of the Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education-Teaching Exam Regulation.

Graduates of our department can take jobs at various positions at private/public institutions. Should they be successful at entry exams, they can work at various positions such as certified public accountant, administrative law judge, auditor, specialist, inspector and controller.
